A funeral service will be held at 6 PM.

John Lowe, Sr. died Thursday March 26, 2026 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was born March 10, 1968 in Kingston he is the son of E. Marie "Snookie" Lowe and Harry "Bud" Lowe.

John was known as a true jack of all trades, someone who could fix just about anything and was always full of energy. He had a natural sense of humor and loved making people laugh, often bringing lightness to any room he walked into. Very athletic and naturally competitive, he enjoyed sports and always liked a challenge. In his free time, he especially enjoyed gambling, which he saw as a way to have fun and keep that competitive spirit alive. He will be remembered for his energy, his humor, and the lasting impression he left on those who knew him.

He is survived by his son John Lowe Jr.;and by Barbara Whittaker, the mother of his son. He is also survived by his mother E. Marie "Snookie" Lowe, sister; Christine Heavey, her husband, John and their son Thomas. In addition, he leaves behind a close and cherished friend Kimberly Harjes Terpening. He was predeceased by his brother Daniel Lowe and his Father Harry "Bud" Lowe Jr.

Expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers may be made in the form of contributions to the R.Y.A.N. house.
