John J. Lukacena, 74, of North Huntingdon, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at home. He was born March 26, 1951 and was the son of the late Michael and Margaret (Kapinus) Lukacena. He was the loving husband of 44 years to Sherrie Jean (Woods) Lukacena. John was a passionate golfer, he was apart of the Men's league at Manor Valley Golf Course, he also enjoyed fly fishing, buying and selling on eBay, he was also a member of the Carpenters Union. He grew up as a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Church in McKeesport and belonged with his wife at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenock. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother, Michael (Maribel) Lukacena of Boulder, CO; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Lukacena of Boston, Sheila Woods of Greenock; brother-in-law, George Reskovac of White Oak; nieces, Jessica (Dan) Boyd of Elizabeth Township, Julie (Tony) Moranelli of Jefferson Hills, Margo (Tim) Groves of Land O' Lakes, FL, Robyn (Michael) Stojakovich of Idaho Falls, ID and Emily Heilman of Greenock; nephew, Randall Reskovac of Pittsburgh; great nieces and nephews, Sydney, Samantha, Olivia, AJ, Melody, Annabelle, Benjamin and Delilah; cousins, Jeffrey Peterson of Boston and Douglas Peterson of Oakton, VA; and dear friends, Dolly and Harry Heilman, Robbie and Donnell Greenewald, Mike and Arlene Stehney and many more friends from school. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Monica Reskovac and twin brother, James Lukacena. Friends are welcome Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township (412) 751-5000 Drew J.
