Macintyre, John III
COEYMANS - John A. Macintyre III (Mac), 65, passed away at his home on October 13, 2025. John was born in Albany, and moved to Ravena as a small child with his mother, Anne Sheldon Macintyre, and his father, John A. Macintyre Jr., and his sister, Kate.
John was educated at R-C-S and graduated high school in 1979. He worked for many years at NAPA and Capitaland Filter both in Ravena.
John is the beloved husband of Catherine Sorell Macintyre; beloved brother-in-law of John and Rosemary Albano, and Frank Sorell Jr. John is the beloved uncle of Justin and Jonathan Albano, Beth and Karen Albano; beloved great-uncle of Carter, Caidyn and Lukas Albano. He is also the beloved cousin of Lou and Nancy Newburg and Lou Newburg V, Tracy and Steve Douglas, and Juliette Henry.
John thoroughly enjoyed residing in the hamlet of Coeymans and walking from the hamlet to Ravena, stopping along the way to talk to neighbors and friends.
John loved cars, old and new, and owned many nice ones, including a 1967 Shelby GT 500, many Mustangs, presently a 1970 Chevelle.
He loved his many dogs Sleeper, Gizmo, Daisey, Lily and Sweet Sunflower Girl (Sunny).
John loved his home, he loved his family, and we will miss him so so much.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 12 to 3 p.m., at the Babcock Funeral Home, 19 Pulver Ave., Ravena, N.Y. 12143. Funeral Service will take place at 3 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be private at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Coeymans.
