John Nathan Martin passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. He was 53 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2023, and again from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Chancellor Funeral Home is Florence. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m.
John was born on June 26, 1970, to Jimmy and Irene Martin Sr. in Jackson, MS. John was a car enthusiast, he loved anything to do with classic cars. He loved anything “Ole Miss”, especially football. He also enjoyed fishing. John had a servant’s heart. He was very generous and would give you the shirt off his back. He loved his family, especially his kids, grandkids, and the love of his life, his wife Kim of 26 years. He will truly be missed.
John is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Martin Sr., brother, Jimmy D. Martin Jr., and daughter, Tiffany Martin. He is survived by his mother, Irene Martin of Jackson; wife, Kim Martin of Florence; children, Joseph Martin (Kayla) of Flowood, Branden Martin (Sam) of Clinton, Anna Martin of Florence, and Tyler Martin of Florence; brother, Patrick Martin of Florence; and grandchildren, Adalynn, Summer, and Olivia; and his nieces and nephews.
