John MARVER Obituary

Age 96 Passed away peacefully at home on September 14, 2022, with Jeannie and Jennifer by his side. Preceded in death by parents, Slovie and Bernard Marver; and brothers, Charles and Robert I. Marver. Survived by the love of his life, Jeannie Steinberg Marver; brother, Joe Marver; loving children, Jennifer (Kurt) Muller, Metairie, LA, Robert (Nikki) Marver, Metairie, LA, Julie (William) Gotlieb, Cindy Katz, David (Naomi) Baer; grandchildren, Abigail and Brennan Muller, Sara (Andrew) Azorsky, Sophie Gotlieb, Sydney, Mia and Sammi Katz, Asher, Ari and Michael Baer. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and other family members. John was a proud veteran of the navy submarine service during WWII. He enjoyed a 45 year broadcasting career in radio station management and ownership. He was a 32nd degree Mason, Indianapolis Valley for 51 years. Graveside service Sunday, September 18 at 2:30 pm, Mount Zion Cemetery, 1670 Payne Avenue St. Paul. Service also available on zoom, email [email protected] for the link. Memorials preferred to Disabled American Veterans, St. Labre Indian School (Montana) or National Association of Blind Veterans. Shiva 7:00 pm on Sunday, September 18 at 2265 Youngman Avenue, St Paul. My Dear Jeannie and family,
I´m so very sorry to hear John has passed. I will forever remember the amazing stories he shared. Such a gentle and kind soul. His ever present smile will be a lasting memory. Love to you Miss Daisy and your family.
