John Charles "Chuck" May, 75, of Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025. Born on March 16, 1950, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Chuck was the

son of Helen and Samuel May.

Chuck grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he developed the values of hard work, loyalty, and kindness that would guide his life. After high school, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam War veteran.

For 53 years, Chuck was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Cynthia "Cindy" May. Together, they built a family rooted in love, passion, and laughter. He was a proud and supportive father to his two sons, John May (wife Kaylin) and James May (wife Eleonora). Chuck's greatest joy was being "Grandpa" to his five grandchildren: Justin

(17), Morgan (10), Gavin (10), Jaxon (10), and Patrick (8). His family was his life's joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Chuck's other love was cars, especially American muscle cars. He shared his love for cars with his family, including his sons and brother-in-law, Lawrence "Larry" Stapleton. Cindy and Chuck also loved to travel with friends and family, frequently cruising the seas and taking road trips across the United States.

Chuck is also survived by his six siblings: Colleen Wallace (husband John "Jack"), Frank May (wife Gloria), Samuel May (wife Sheila), Kathleen Suma (husband Corrado

"Charlie"), Charlene Stapleton (husband Larry), and Michaelene Reese (partner Gary Spiese), who will remember him for his wit, generosity, and unwavering love. Chuck is

also survived by his loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews.

Those who knew Chuck will remember him as a man of integrity, humor, and warmth. Whether through his quiet wisdom, his unshakable loyalty, or his simple guiding

words-"It costs you nothing to be nice"-Chuck left an imprint on every life he touched. A celebration of Chuck's life will be held on Sunday, September 14th from 1PM – 4PM at St. Lucie Trail Golf Club, 951 SW Country Club Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34986.

Chuck's legacy of love, kindness, and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
