John A Mayle

John A. Mayle, age 84, of Louisville, passed away Monday August 25, 2025. He was born in Chesterhill, Ohio, on October 12, 1940 the son of the late Guy D. Mayle and Anne (Wray) Mayle. John was a Veteran of the US Army, where her served for 3 years and was stationed in Germany as a scout when the Berlin Wall was being built. John had been employed with the Harrison Paint Company for 35 years before retiring.

On November 27, 1964 John married Rebecca J. (Wagner) Mayle who preceded him in death in 2016. Survivors include his son, Keith (Michelle) Mayle; his daughter, Mary (Martin) George; his grandchildren, Christopher (Jessica) Hinton, Kyle Mayle, Chloe Mayle, and Samuel George; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, Rebecca, John was preceded in death by his step-mother, Verna Mayle, and his sister, JoAnne Norris.

Funeral services will be held at Reed Funeral Home CANTON Chapel on Wednesday September 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Chaplain Amy Downard officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
