John Edward McClain Sr., 52, of Oklahoma City, passed away on May 30, 2025. Born on June 28, 1972, in Fort Worth, Texas, John made his home and his mark in Oklahoma City, where he was known and loved by many.
John was a devoted father to his children: John Edward McClain Jr., Adrianna Lynn McClain, Chelsea Nichole McClain, and Justin Lee Allen McClain. He was a proud grandfather to Rylynne Forrest McClain and Azaiah Rai Truman Oliver. He is also survived by his father, James McClain, and his siblings: Thomas McClain and his wife Susan, Tammy McClain and her husband David, and Christy Villa. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as cousins.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Franscine Lillie McClain, and his cherished granddaughter, Kalliope Hope Analise Gonzalaz and his beloved nephew Francisco Serna.
John had a deep love for life. He was rarely seen without one of his favorite hats. He loved relaxing and fishing with friends time to time, finding peace in the quiet moments by the water. He found joy in simple pleasures like playing pool with his friends at the VFW, Twilight, and other local spots. His passion for cars was a constant role in his life, and he spent his career as a dedicated field inspector for Trademark Exteriors Restoration in Oklahoma City.
He was a man of faith, deeply connected to God, and he brought light and laughter wherever he went. Known for his easy smile and his favorite phrase-"Fair enough"-John had a natural way of making everyone feel welcome and loved. He will be remembered as a caring father, a loving son, a cherished brother, and a loyal friend.
John's legacy of laughter, love, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
