John McCormick Obituary
John graduated from Our Lady of Providence Seminary High School and then Our Lady of Providence Seminary College. He was a respected Latin Teacher at Gow School in South Wales, New York and later at Pine Cobble School in Williamstown for many years, where he was known for his creative learning environment, which included the Roman Model Project. John was a devout Catholic and daily communicant of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Church. He was known for his stylish dress and well-tied bow ties.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Cote of Chepachet, RI, a niece, and a nephew. He will also be missed by extended family and friends.
A Liturgy of Christian burial will take place at Saint Elizabeth at a later date. Donations in John's memory may be made directly to the American Cancer Society or through Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Homes. Please add to the book of memories on this page.

John was a good friend and mentor to me when I first started teaching at Gow. We had many fun and happy times together.
