John P. McDaniel Sr.

SEVEN VALLEYS – John P. McDaniel, Sr., age 91, of Seven Valleys, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 19, 2022 at his home. He was the loving husband of Joyce A. (Hartman) McDaniel; together they shared 69 years of marriage.
John was born in Midville, WV on November 18, 1930 and was the son of the late Sewell and Clara (Luck) McDaniel. He worked for Federal Paperboard in York and retired in 1993. John loved working in his garage and being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Seven Valleys Fire Company for 50 years and the United Paperworkers International Union Local #1811.
In addition to his loving wife Joyce, John is survived by his sons Rick and wife Kathleen, John, Jr., Jeffrey, Terry, and Gregory and wife Jody; his daughter Debra Zeigler and husband Scott; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and his sister Edna Conley of Spotsylvania, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents; 6 brothers; 1 sister; 1 grandson; and 1 great-granddaughter.
A Funeral Service in celebration of John's life will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 11:00AM at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of Spring Grove, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove with Pastor David Hauffman officiating. He will be laid to rest following the service at St. Paul's (Dubs) Union Church Cemetery in Hanover. A viewing will be held on Monday from 10:00AM – 11:00AM at the funeral home.
