My condolences/best memory: I was John's cheerleader in the sport of wrestling. Followed him everywhere at all his matches plus, track & field. To me, John was this big burly looking guy with a soft heart. John was the only wrestler that made me cry at a loss. He really didn't lose many matches. He was a big strong wrestler himself until he met up with a wrestler larger than him. I looked at John look at his opponent. Oh Lord, please help John win this match. After all the shouting, cheering and pounding on the floor mat until my hands were raw, John was pinned. We both looked at each other and fell out crying & boo-hooing like big babies in a crib. Took us awhile to recover, blowing noses, wiping faces and looking "ugly!" Boy did we laugh afterwards. We actually met at Junior High School and I liked WWF wrestling. John protected me at "Hickmans" from other school boys, walked "scared" me across the Arsenal bridge with all those grates and holes on the walkway, and John always hid his deviousness from me so we could be life-long friends forever. Rest in peace my friend. I'll see you again, Marsha
