John David McIntyre Sr., born on September 22, 1946, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025. John, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, was a pillar of strength and guidance for his family and the community. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a dedicated computer engineer in the technology industry, making significant contributions throughout his illustrious career. John was a man of many passions, which included coaching and playing Little League, high school baseball, and adult softball. He enjoyed traveling to Aruba, Hawaii, and camping with his family in the White Mountains. His love for his hometown was deeply rooted, as evidenced by his active involvement in organizing the Fitchburg High School Class of 1964 reunions. John was a proud member of the South End Club, where he formed many lifelong friendships. He is survived by his beloved wife Carol McIntyre, his children Karen Aristegui and husband Martin Jr., John McIntyre Jr. and wife Megan, Brian McIntyre and fiancé Phatsalin, and cousins, several nieces, nephews and friends. His legacy will continue to live on through his grandchildren, Sean Aristegui, Elli Aristegui, Lydia McIntyre, and Ellen McIntyre. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Taimi (Pasanen) McIntyre, and his brother, William Jr., and sister-in-law, Simone McIntyre.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, December 12, 2025, in the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, MA. Interment will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery, 115 Mount Elam Road, Fitchburg, Massachusetts, 01420, at 11:45 am.
