John G. McKechnie, 77, of Berlin, beloved husband of Jane E. (Wrobel) McKechnie for 49 years, passed away on January 6, 2026 at Middlesex Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Church, 461 Alling St., Berlin. Please meet directly at church. Burial will be in Maple Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 4-6 p.m. at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Hwy., Berlin. Memorial donations in John's name may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or the Wounded Warrior Project. Dearest Cousin Jane,
I´m so very sorry for the loss of your beloved husband.
I too am grieving the loss of my precious Mom who passed December 13th.
I´m so very sorry that I won´t be able to attend the services, as I´m in the process of moving.
I pray that the wonderful memories that you shared with your beloved John during your many years of marriage will bring you peace and comfort as you grieve.
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.
