John C. McLean, a beloved husband, son, brother, and cherished friend, passed away on December 17, 2025, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, at the age of 53. Born on January 11, 1972, in Dewitt, Arkansas, John dedicated much of his life to his craft as a Master Plumber, a title he proudly held for 35 years. His commitment to excellence in his work was matched only by his generosity toward his friends and family, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
John shared a deep and lasting love with his wife, Gina McLean, whom he married on March 13, 1993. Together, they created a life filled with laughter, support, and unwavering companionship. John had a remarkable ability to make his loved ones feel special; his warm spirit drew people to him, and his kindness knew no bounds. He had an incredible fondness for animals, particularly dogs. It brought him immense joy to pet any dog he came across, and it was clear he absolutley adored his and Gina's beloved dog, Lilu.
In addition to his devoted wife, John is survived by his mother, Nila Gooding; his brothers, Billy (Albert) McLean JR (Terry) and James McLean (Elwen); his sister, Joy, and her husband Clint. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends, all of whom will remember him for his infectious spirit and caring nature.
John's father, William Albert McLean SR, predeceased him, but the memories of their time together will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew them. As we mourn the loss of this remarkable man, we celebrate the legacy of love and friendship he leaves behind, cherishing the moments spent with him and the countless lives he touched throughout his journey.
Services will be planned by the family at a later date.
