John Wayne McLemore was born September 04, 1936, in Tallulah, Louisiana to Bert McLemore and Hazel Williams. He went home to be with the Lord, and his sweet wife Lois on May 03, 2025, in Hobbs, New Mexico.
Saturday May 3 you might have felt a little rumble if you were in Hobbs, lots of people thought it may have been an earthquake, but we all know that is when John finished his first story up in heaven and everyone was rolling in laughter. John was a storyteller if you ever met one! He loved to share old Cajun stories and jokes; he loved to make people laugh and smile. About the only thing he loved more was the kids. His children, then grandchildren, and then great-grandchildren, but you can’t forget his neighborhood grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a grandpa to them all. John also served several years as a Scout Master.
Left to treasure his memory are his daughter Juanita Carda and son-in-law Shaun Carda of Colorado, granddaughter Alice Carda and husband Logan Carda, great grandchildren Johnny Mac Carda, Ryder Oliver Carda of Canada, Grandchild Jacob Carda of Colorado, and bonus granddaughter Cheyanne Silco of Hobbs, NM, and 3 siblings.
John was preceded in passing by his parents, several siblings, his loving wife Lois McLemore, and his son Daniel McLemore.
