John McRedmond Obituary

Mr. John Joseph McRedmond V made his divine journey home Tuesday, June 17, 2025.

In heaven, he has reunited with loving parents, John McRedmond IV and Lillian Kathleen McRedmond.

He is survived by sisters, Ashley Parsley, of Goodlettsville, Tenn., and Katelyn McRedmond, of Ellijay.

He graduated from Gilmer High School in 2013 and dove headfirst into engineering studies at Southern Polytechnic College. His love for timber exterior design and construction guided his lifelong professional pursuits.

Propelled by endless charisma and genuine Southern charm, his impressive portfolio was surpassed only by his long list of friends.

He was a fanatical dreamer, an energetic entrepreneur, an elaborate creative and a steadfast gentleman. In every way, he persisted in being his true self.

His brief but vibrant 30 years were punctuated by off-kilter jokes and an infectious grin. You'd be hard- pressed to find a Gilmer County resident without a story to tell about him. "He was fully known and loved anyway."

A public viewing will be held Friday, June 27, 2025, at Bernhardt Funeral Home from noon until 8 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to share memories during that time.

Bernhardt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
