Rick's passion for enjoying life to the fullest evident in his love for attending concerts and live music events. His joy in these gatherings was contagious, spreading laughter and happiness to those around him. In his later years, he found a new interest in learning how to cook, a hobby he pursued with enthusiasm and dedication, thanks to the support and encouragement of his fiancé, Heather.
He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Audrey Medlin, as well as his brother Michael Medlin.

Rick worked for Hill-Rom(Baxter) for over 27 years. He was a dedicated and hard worker. His technical experience was in a class by itself. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge with his team members whenever he needed to. The last 14 years of his employment were spent at Duke University Hospital. He was the number one Field Service Technician out of five Hill-Rom Techs that worked on site. His team members and the staff members at Duke enjoyed Rick sense of humor.
Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the memories of all those whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace knowing that he brought laughter and joy to many hearts during his time with us.
