John Melson Obituary
He was born to the late Levin and Shirely Melson. John served his country in the United States Navy and was an auditor for the DuPont Company. He loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed debating and trivia.
John was also preceded in death by his brother Richard S. Melson. John is survived by his sister, Susan Melson Ivey (Mark) and numerous nieces and a nephew.
Friends may call on Wednesday. November 20, 2024 from 12:30-1:00 pm. at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808 where a service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in private. To send condolences visit: www.mccreryandharra.com.

Hello
My name is Michael Lougheed, I just heard of John´s passing, so sorry.I worked at Millers Gun Center for 20 yrs back in the 1980´s and forward John and I had many , many gun sales exchanges he was a hoot to deal with!!.I then went on to sell cars at Brandywine Chrysler Jeep on Kirkwood Highway where John would visit we had many political talks he was something. Did end up selling him a car, I then moved on to Zingo´s Grocery Store where I at times would tell John when his favorite Coffee went on sale . He´s stories would crack me up, again so sorry that I missed his service, I´am not a big social internet person I found out from old friend yesterday about My friend John passing.
