John R. Miller "Yumpy", 67, of Stevens, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026.

He was born in Pittsburgh on January 23, 1959. He is the son of Robert and Ann (Bair) Miller and was the husband of Cheryl (Russitano) Miller.

Known to all as Yumpy, he was a loyal and loving husband, dad, paps, and friend. He was an avid hunter, and skilled mechanic. Most recently due to his own transition to a prosthetic he started mentoring those with their own transition to prosthetics.

Before retirement he worked at ACME and continued to be an active member of the Local Teamsters.

In addition to his parents, John is survived by 3 children, Shawn D. Leach, Jodi A., wife of Matthew O'Reilly, and Jesse R. Miller; 4 grandchildren, Kirsten, Connor, Alexis "Lexi", and Isabella; a great-grandchild, Kaiya; 4 siblings, Stacy, Chrissy, Tommy, and Richard.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Jessica A. Miller.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 6 to 7 pm at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm. Interment is private at the convenience of the family.
