On March 4, 2024, John Joseph Minaglia, Sr. passed away peacefully in the presence of his children.
John was born in Healdsburg, California to John and Sophia Minaglia on August 24, 1923. A 3rd generation rancher and farmer in Healdsburg, John was the 2nd generation to graduate from Healdsburg High School, in 1941.
In addition to farming and ranching, John and his late wife Georgia raised six children, and was active in a number of organizations and committees: 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus, Charter Member of the California Prune Bargaining Association, the California Prune Board, the California Prune Marketing Committee, the Sonoma County Grand Jury and the Sonoma County Emergency Services Committee.
John was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Georgia. He is survived by his children, John Jr. (Debra), Ann (Jerry) Rovetti, George (Lori), Francis (Ann), Mary (Ken) Cody and Paul, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Rosary will be held at 10am with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at 208 Matheson Street in Healdsburg on Monday, April 1, 2024. A reception at St. John's Hall will follow. Mortuary services provided by Windsor Healdsburg Mortuary, Windsor CA.

I went to school with Paul when we were young, and met Francis several times over the years. If these wonderful individuals are any reflection of their father, then John Sr. was a kind, sincere, affable, and all around exceptional person; a true gentleman. My condolences to the Minaglia family. I am sorry for your loss.
