John J. Moore, 74, of Broadalbin passed away at home on Monday December 15, 2025. Born in Troy, NY, he was the son of Richard and Mary (DeCelle) Moore Sr.
He served his country proudly in the Army. John was later employed as Postal Clerk for the Post Office in Saratoga.
John loved the outdoors and enjoyed archery and hunting. He also loved reading and writing and was always enthusiastic about sharing stories with his family. John also loved the Beatles and thought of himself as the 5th Beatle.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by one sister Mary Beth Patregnani and two brothers, William Moore and Philip Moore.
John is survived by four sons, Jeremy Moore, Matthew Moore, Joseph Moore, and Chance Moore, one brother Richard Moore Jr. and five sisters Darlene Morris, Karen Jalonski, Allison Jones, Shirley Moore-Ahern, and Kathleen Moore Stewart. John has 13 grandchildren and leaves behind also his former wife Margaret Brown.
A visitation will be held on December 26th from 11am-12pm at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady followed by a funeral service at 12pm.
