John Morris

Longtime Moberly resident John Richard Morris, 66, passed quietly, Friday, June 3, 2022, at his home from multiple medical issues.
He is survived by his three children, Sara Morris of St. Louis, Megan Morris and Friend of Kirksville (Brooklyn and Angelo Richard), Tyler Morris of Moberly (Lacey and Mattie), half-sister Irene Morris Teal of Malbis, AL, and a brother James Michael Morris of Fort Myers, FL.
After graduating from Moberly High School, John attended Moberly Junior College before joining Hardees. He worked his way up from hourly associate to store Manager where he led his team for many years. Following this, John held several jobs with local companies and also worked independently. He enjoyed spending time with his Grandchildren and Friends. He was always doing something until he retired.
John was preceded in death by the love of his life Glenna Irene Morris (1989), Sister Alice Louise Morris (1972), Father James B. Morris (1974), Mother Mary M. Morris (2003), half-sister Elizabeth Ann Vernold Cook (2017), and brother Joseph P. Morris (2021).
Funeral services honoring and celebrating John's life were held Graveside at the Sugar Creek Cemetery. Committal prayer and burial followed.
