John Morris Obituary
John Wayne Morris, 74, of Albany, died Saturday, October 15, 2022 at his home.
His funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Mathews Funeral Home. Interment will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the VFW Cemetery in Demorest, GA.
A native of Charlotte, NC, Mr. Morris had been in Albany for the past 50 years. He retired from MCLB after 35 years for service. He was veteran of the U. S. Air Force and the U. S. Navy, a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of Doerun Church of God.
Survivors include his wife Lana Rae Morris, children, April Morris, Chris Morris, Carla Morris, grandchildren, MiKayla, Carley, Kassie, John Ezra, Savannah, Bryce and great grandchildren, Hannah and Ezra. He is also survived by his siblings, Pam Morris, Steve Morris, Fred Morris, Ray Morris and Pat Morris.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Mathews Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers please make memorials to Doerun Church of God.
