Born in Spring Valley, NY, he moved to Monterey Beach permanently in 1988 after summering there for 20 years.
John worked in Management at American Cyanamid in Pearl River, NY for many years, retiring in 1988.
He was a US Army Air Corp. World War II veteran, attaining the rank of Sergeant.
John was a charter member of the American Legion Post 1600, Pomona, NY.
He dedicated many years of outstanding service to Monterey Beach as Beach Chairman while also being an active member of Federation of Beaches.
John was predeceased by his wife Vera in 2024.
He is survived by his son John A. Mueller, Jr. (Susan) of Alpharetta, GA, two daughters Rosemary Bolnick (Garry) of New City, NY and Barbara A. Mueller (Sherri Laurier) of Toms River, three grandchildren Karen Donatelli (Dan), Greg Mueller (Julie) and Juliana Bolnick-Osofsky (Dean) and six great-grandchildren Andrew Mueller, Isaac Quatrro, Isabelle Quattro-Mueller, Christian Donatelli, Matthew Donatelli and Caitlyn Donatelli.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, November 6, 2025 2:00pm – 6:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 706 Grand Central Ave., Lavallette, NJ. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 7, 2025 10:00am at St Catharine of Sienna RC Church, Parish of Junipero Serra, Seaside Park, NJ. We ask that you kindly meet directly at the church on Friday.
