John Murphy Obituary
John was born in Tahoka, Texas on July 26, 1946, to Dolby Murphy and Lorene (Parrish) Murphy. After graduating from University High School, he attended MCC and earned a business degree.
He was united in marriage with Kathy Yaklin on July 29, 1995, in Corpus Christi. They moved to Groesbeck in 2012. John worked for General Tire in Waco for many years before he retired.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Murphy; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Johnny Jackson of China Spring; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Chuck Radney of Groesbeck; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Robert Rader of Groesbeck; son, Keith Murphy of Waco, and son, Kevin Murphy of Waco; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his siblings: Bo and Brenda Murphy of Waco, Gary Murphy of Kansas, Oklahoma, Evelyn Callaway of St. Amant, LA, and Terri Cummins of Waco.
