John Joseph Mutka III

John Joseph Mutka III, 81 of Valparaiso, passed away Monday, July 4, 2022, surrounded by his wife and daughters. He was born February 6, 1941 in Hammond, Indiana, the son of John Joseph and Anna M. (Nogacki) Mutka. John was a Vietnam Army Veteran and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. On November 19, 1966 he married Nancy Matthews, who survives in Valparaiso. Also surviving are his daughters, Amy (David) Swart of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Kathleen (fiancé Jayson Atwood) Mutka and Heather (Joe) Luciano all of Valparaiso and Jennifer (Chris) Manning of Westfield, grandchildren: Cameron, Kelsey, Olivia, Aubrey, Tessa, Alyssa, Bennett and Abigail and 2 sisters, Eleanor Lukowski of Dolton, IL and Florence Mika of Calumet City, IL. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and sister Ann Marie Ahrens. Visitation will be held Friday, July 8, 2022, 5-8 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St., Valparaiso. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1855 W. Harrison Blvd, Valparaiso, Rev. Roque Meraz officiating. Burial will be in Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso
