John Neeley Obituary
John was born on March 10, 1960, at Alachua General Hospital in Gainesville, Florida, to Fullward Neeley and Hazel Neeley (Pedrick). John was a lifelong resident of Alachua county.
He dedicated over 17 years of service to the University of Florida, where he worked as a Senior Fiscal employee before retiring in 2015.
John found joy in the outdoors and everything country life had to offer. He loved planting trees, fishing, bonfires, and working on his property. In his quieter moments, he enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Antique Roadshow, especially in his final days.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Fullward Neeley and Hazel Neeley (Pedrick), as well as his brothers, Raymond Chesser and Gary Neeley.
He is survived by his son, Andy Neeley (Ashley Brooks); his daughter, Wendy Neeley Sheppard (Brandy Sheppard); his grandchildren, Victoria Neeley, Katherine Neeley, and Lillien Card, Kylee Sheppard, Travis Shields; his brother, Billy Neely (Debbie); his sister, Bessie Rae; along with several nieces and nephews.
John was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.
