John P. Neidhardt, Jr. 91, of Lodi passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025. Born in Jersey City to the late Antoinette and John P. Neidhardt, Sr. As a senior in high school, he was captain of the Leonia High School Football team and attended Syracuse University on a Football Scholarship. Before retiring, John was an iron worker and business agent for the Iron Workers Union Local 483 in Hackensack. He was a parishioner of the Church of the Sacred Heart in Rochelle Park and a former parishioner of St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church in Lodi where he was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was a former football coach and Boy Scout Leader for Troop 117 both in Lodi. John was also a past president of the Bergen County Building Trades and a recipient of the Labor Leader of the Year Award. Beloved husband of the late Rita M. (nee Hux) Neidhardt. Devoted father of John P. Neidhardt, III and his wife Bonnie, Brian Neidhardt and his wife Donna, Donna Vazquez and her husband Steve, Thomas Neidhardt and Mary Settecasi and her husband Perry. Dear brother of the late Loretta Catalano and Catherine Harrop. Loving grandfather of twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights on Tuesday, November 11th at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from the Church of the Sacred Heart in Rochelle Park at 10 AM. Cremation following at Cedar Lawn Crematory. Visitation Monday, November 10th from 4 - 7 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis, TN. 38105 would be appreciated.
