John Neis Obituary
John was born to Cletus and Eileen (Brown) Neis on July 1, 1937, in Mondovi, Wisconsin.
Jack attended and graduated Gilmanton and Mondovi schools. At 18, Jack moved to Racine and worked as a flooring installer and sales at the prestigious Porters of Racine, Ala Rug, and Goldblatz to name a few. Jack then started Neis Carpet Service. In 1977, Jack returned to the Gilmanton area where he continued Neis Carpet Service. Laying flooring in nearly every local home and business reaching into Minnesota. Jack retired due to health issues and resided in Independence Wisconsin. His great humor and wild antics will be greatly missed.
Jack is survived by his daughters, Jacqueline Huck and Roechelle (Jeff) Haupt; son, John (Mary) Neis Jr; grandchildren, Chuck, Tatum, Tamara, Ricky, Eric, Katie, Bryce, and Jordan; great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; and too many friends to count.
A special and heartfelt thank you to Mike and Kerry Franks, Robbie and Kayla and Bev Walek all of Independence. Also, the nurses of Gunderson Tricare Whitehall and Paul Whiney PA of Mayo Arcadia.
He is preceded in death by his beloved sons, Ricky and Joe; parents, Eileen and Cletus Neis; brothers, Virgil (Bud), Donald (Baldy), Tom, and Duane; sisters, Maxine, Lois, and Phyllis.
A Celebration of Life to share photos and stories will be held at Miror Lake Pavilion in Mondovi on September 21, 2024, from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm for family and all friends.
A private family burial will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Mondovi at 5:00 pm.
