John Norovich, 68 of Vestal, passed away unexpectantly, Wednesday, October 8, 2025. He was predeceased by his parents John & Dorothy Norovich. He is survived by Mary, his wife of 30 years. His three children, Robert (Theresa) Malay, Adam Norovich and Sarah Norovich. He is also survived by his brother Stephen Norovich and many cousins.
John was born and raised in Binghamton and is a 1975 graduate of Binghamton Central High School. He loved Maine Lobster, listening to The Eagles, and watching his New York Giants.
John spent 42 years with Grand Union/Tops Markets as a grocery manager. Many co-workers became a second family to him and helped him survive the many years in the grocery store.
Most of all his family was his number one priority. He had the biggest heart and made sure that it was shown through continuous care and unwavering support.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the amazing staff on the ICU Floor at Wilson Memorial Hospital, for the continuous care that he received during this difficult time. The staff made every effort to ensure that John never felt alone.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30 am, Tuesday, October 14 at St. Cyril and Methodius Church, 148 Clinton Street, Binghamton. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, Monday, October 13 from 4-6 pm.
