John Michael O'Connor, age 79, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025 at his home in Irvine, CA with his loving wife Debby at his side.

John was born on February 2, 1946, in Framingham, MA., son of the late John W. O'Connor and Phyllis M. O'Connor.

Besides his wife Debby (Lawrence) O'Connor of 39 years, John is survived by brother Richard P. O'Connor and wife Kris (Johnson) of Falmouth, MA; sister Kathleen M. O'Connor of Framingham, MA; brother Robert T. O'Connor and wife Elizabeth (Zimmerman) of Redondo Beach, CA; nieces Caitlin E. O'Connor of Playa Del Rey, CA and Lauren S. O'Connor of New York, NY.

John graduated from Merrimack College, No. Andover, MA, in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. In his professional life, he was a career Sales Account Executive, initially for Johnson & Johnson, and then 35 years with The Gillette Company.

John was a born salesperson. He was a talker, and in his element when in a room with a group of people he knew, or even did not know. He chatted up all, with a handshake, smile, conversation and a laugh. He knew all by the end of the event.

John was an avid golfer and member at Pacific Golf Club (now Bella Collina) in San Clemente. He and his buddies loved to be the first ones off the tee at daylight, so they could finish in 3 ½ hours. He was also a sports fan, especially for the Boston Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtics.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 9 th, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the O'Connor Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Pkwy, Laguna Hills, CA 92653.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in John's memory to The Brittany Foundation, an animal rescue and sanctuary at www.brittanyfoundationonline.org.
