John A. Olsen, age 85, passed away on Saturday May 13, 2023, at Woodside Lutheran Home. He was born October 5, 1937, to the late Julius and Gladys (Kersten) Olsen in Green Bay, WI. He attended West De Pere High School and graduated with the class of 1955. John served our country in the National Guard from 1954 – 1962. He married Carol Baumgartner on October 7, 1961, in Green Bay, they celebrated 61 years together. John worked for Super Valu warehouse until his retirement in 1999.
John enjoyed volunteering for the Red Cross and was an active Church Member at St. John Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife: Carol; Son: David (Tina) Olsen; two daughters: Diane Olsen, Robyn (Scott) Bourassa; four grandchildren: Tony (Vanessa) Olsen, Johnny Olsen, Nicole Bourassa, and William (Brandi) Bourassa; two great granddaughters: Ainsley and Nova Olsen; special sister-in-law: Judy Wilson; other relatives and friends survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents: one infant son: John Olsen.

A funeral service will be held Friday May 19, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church, 2700 Babcock Road, Ashwaubenon. Visitation will occur on both Thursday May 18, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at St. John Lutheran Church and again on Friday May 19, 2023, from 9:00 am to the time of service at 11:00 am. Cremation will follow and cremains will be buried on a later date at St, John's Lutheran Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the Staff at Woodside Lutheran Home and St. Mary's Hospital for their care and comfort.
