John Osorio Obituary
With a heart full of love and a head full of stories, John Tristan Osorio Jr. passed away peacefully at the age of 94.
John, also known to most as "Jack" was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on July 19, 1931 to parents John and Clara ( née DeCamara) Osorio. He loved to tell stories about his childhood in Hawaii and all the places and memories he cherished. In high school, John moved to California with his family, where he would spend the majority of his life.
John attended San Jose State University where he earned his first bachelor's degree. During his time at SJSU, he formed lifelong relationships with his fraternity brothers in Theta Chi. Following his time at SJSU, John joined the United States Army where he served two years stationed in Germany during the Korean War. After completing his military service, he attended California Polytechnic State University where he earned a second bachelor's degree in animal husbandry.
In 1964, John married his wife Frances, and they enjoyed 60 years as husband and wife, each other's closest friends and perfect compliments.
John was known for the deep love he had for his family, his captivating storytelling, impressive stamp collection, and insatiable sweet tooth. John was someone who never knew a stranger and would not hesitate to go out of his way to help a friend.
John was a beloved husband, father, "Bop" and Great-Bop. He is survived by his daughters Michelle, Nancy, and Clair; his grandchildren, known to him as: Mariah, Shorty, Keiki, Adorabelle, Armando, Honey Roasted Peanut, Caleb, Tommy and Jamie. He is also survived by his seven great grandchildren: Speedy, Irish, Luka, Brooklyn, Beverly, Cooper and Max. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Clara; wife, Frances; and brother, Herman.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Icing Smiles, SJSU Theta Chi, or another charity of your choosing. Mehl's Colonial Chapel was entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
