John F Otto, 84, Died on Wednesday May 22, 2024, at 2:26pm peacefully in his home, after a long Struggle with Parkinson’s disease.
He was born on April 3rd, 1940, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Frances and Winifred (Winnie) Otto.
John graduated from Scared Heart High School, Class of 1958 following graduation he married the love of his life Dolores (Meisberger) Otto, they settled in Indianapolis (Eagledale) and celebrated 56 years of marriage before Dolores passed away in 2023.
John worked at the Indianapolis Star and news until his retirement after 44 years of service. John was also a loyal Member of the Boys Scouts of America, he was the highest decorated scout in the state of Indiana, he was also a Loyal member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3682.
John enjoyed being with his family, Camping, Hiking, Playing Horseshoes which in later years turned to Corn hole, and a really good game of UNO with his kids and grandkids.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, his wife (Dolores Otto) and one grandchild (Lindsay Otto). He leaves behind his Oldest Son Christoper Otto, Joesph Otto and Steve (Jody) Otto. And his 8 grandchildren and 2 great grand Daughters, and his aunt Mary Green.
