Mr. John Henry Owens, age 73 of Jacksboro passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024. He attended White Oak Church of God and loved fishing, motorcycle riding, boating, camping, playing the part of Santa Clause, and spending time with his Grandchildren. Preceded in death by Parents, Eldredge and Bessie (Prater) Owens; Brother, Terry Owens. 

 

Survivors: Son, John David Owens and wife, Renee; Daughter, April Inman and husband, Tommy; Grandchildren, Scotty Inman, Matt Inman, Bethany Arnold, Tylor Owens, J. D. Owens, Sydney Hunt, Sean Baird, Zack Owens, Dustin Hernandez, Cody Hernandez, and Tayia Bush; Several Great-Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren, and one on the way; Brother, Brian Owens and wife, Sherry; Sisters, Susan Cox, Cindy Kenney and husband, Jim, Tina Bruce and husband, Ron, and Mary Shoupe and husband, Roger. Countless Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, other relatives and friends. 

 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Warren Marlow and Bro. Bobby Trippensee officiating. Family and friends will meet Sunday, June 30, 2024, 1:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Ausmus Cemetery in Speedwell for 2:00 P.M. Graveside Services and Interment. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. John Henry Owens.
