John Glenn Palombi, 70, of Havelock, North Carolina, passed away on at his home on Friday, February 23, 2024.
Born on March 7, 1953, in Binghamton, New York, John was the son of the late Augusto and Barbara Palombi. He was a proud U.S. Marine and Army veteran, serving his country with honor and dedication. John was a respected Health Care Technician in the mental health field, where he dedicated his life to serving and caring for others.
John's charming and always stylish persona caught the eye of many. He looked like a "Super King" and always dressed to impress. A man of diverse interests, John found joy in watching action movies, always enjoying the thrill and excitement. He appreciated good music and loved dancing to the rhythm of a good song. John's spirit shone brightest through his love for his family where he cherished his role as a loving father and a proud grandfather.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his daughters, Michelle Cho of Santa Clarita, CA, Nicole Miyashiro of Los Angeles, CA, Giovana Gergich of Lakeland, FL, Elizabeth Palombi of Havelock, NC, and Naomi Palombi of Nipoma, CA; sons, John Palombi Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, John Lewis of Newport, and Giovani Palombi of San Luis Obispo, CA; siblings, Carmela Garcia and Joseph Palombi, both of Los Angeles, CA; 8 grandchildren; and his fiancé, Lisa Struble.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his son, Michael Palombi; and sisters, Tina Lopez and Rene Palombi.
John will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
