John F. Pecora

On February 6, 2026, John Frank Pecora passed away peacefully at his home in Parkville, MD. He is the beloved son of Josephine Pecora (nee Oliphant) and the late Pasquale Pecora; beloved husband of 33 years to Gerladine A. Pecora (nee Latham); loving father of John Pasquale Pecora and his fiancé Abigail Frances Parisen, Patrick Giovanni Pecora, and the late Joseph Angelo Pecora; devoted brother of Lena Hogan-Pecora and her boyfriend Steven Cartwright, Patricia Pecora, Natalie Kurtz and her husband Charlie, Sergio Pecora and his fiancé Jaclyn Whiteford, and Katelyn Pecora. John is also survived by many other loving family and friends.

John learned many valuable skills as a young man in building and construction. He would apply these skills later in life when he built his outside kitchen to entertain family and friends or using the tree that fell on his property to build a beautiful bed frame. John loved to learn about science and technology. He was able to build lasers and holograms just for enjoyment in his basement to the amazement of family and friends. John attended Essex Community College to continue on his knowledge that led him to work and ultimately retire from the Social Security Administration in their Information Technology department. John also enjoyed the quiet times at home tending to his vegetable garden. Above all else, John was a family man who loved being a husband and father and his greatest pride was the family and home he built. He cherished the years spent with his wife, sons, and family.

The family will receive friends at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 York Rd (Beltway Exit 26) on Thursday February 12th from 2-4 & 6-8pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Isaac Jogues Church, 9215 Old Harford Rd., Parkville, MD 21234 on Friday, February 13th at 11am. The interment will be private.
