John Petersons

John Petersons, 87, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026 peacefully at Beloit Memorial Hospital.

He was born December 11, 1938 in Tukums, Latvia, the son of Fricis and Annete (Jurevics) Petersons. John was a 1956 graduate of North Division High School, Milwaukee, WI. He attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering. John served eight years in the United States National Guard. John married JoAnn Eberle on September 5, 1964 in St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz, WI.

John was a devoted employee of Beloit Corporation as an engineer and draftsman for 34 years, and Paperchine for five years. He was a member of the Beloit Corporation Quarter Century Club and the South Beloit American Legion Post #288. John was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he was an usher and volunteered for soup lunch. John was devoted to his family, with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren being his pride and joy, and everyone would agree. His generosity and kindness knew no bounds. John loved traveling with his wife. He also enjoyed golfing, hunting with his son-in-law, fishing and playing cards with his family. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewers fan.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnn; children, Julie (Terence) Stalder of Strongsville, OH, and Linda (Matthew) Robson of Brookfield, WI; grandchildren, Bradley (Elizabeth) Stalder of Plymouth MI, Sarah (Adam) Honious of Wyoming, OH, Ryanne (Jeffrey) Edwards of Menomonee Falls, WI and Kyla Robson of Charlotte, NC and Emma Stalder of Arlington, VA, Caleb (Kristen) Stalder of Northville, MI; great grandchildren, Kate, Mary, Eleanor, John, Lucy, Jack, Owen and Emery; sister, Maija Petersons of Kalamazoo, MI; sister-in-law, Geri Eberle of Tucson, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, and one sister, Mara Petersons.

A memorial service for John will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14th in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI. Inurnment will be in Floral Lawn Cemetery. Visitation of remembrance will be from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
