John I.L. Piepho

John Irwin Lloyd Piepho, 66, passed away on Friday August 23rd 2024. John was born in Keystone Nebraska on February 20th 1958 to Lloyd Carl Piepho and Eleanor Irene Graham Piepho. John graduated from Ogallala Senior High School in 1976. He went on to earn an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology from Eastern Wyoming College in 1979. He married his wife Kimberly Ann Robertson on May 15th 1982 and the two made a life together raising their two children Meghan Xanthe Piepho who was born May 8th 1984 and John Clements Piepho who was born May 10th 1987. John was a dedicated man who lived his life in service to his family and his friends. He went to work for Haythorn Land & Cattle at the age of 15 and he spent the next 46 years being a cowboy, the only thing he had ever wanted to be. In 2019, John and Kim moved into town and he began a new career with his son at a plumbing company where he learned a new way of life and got to serve his community in a new way. He was a champion, a husband, a father, and a man of God. John loved God with all his heart, soul and strength. He was the spiritual leader in his home and offered guidance, support and wisdom to others. John was known for his strong sense of purpose in work and in his faith. John is survived by his wife Kimberly Ann Piepho, his daughter Meghan and Tyler Griffin, his son Jc and Megan Piepho, his two twin granddaughters, Jem and Belle Griffin, and his sister Julie Piepho and David Bee. He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Eleanor Piepho and his grandparents Carl and Della Piepho and Lloyd and Mabel Graham. Memorial Services will be 3:00 pm Thursday, August 29th, 2024 at the New Hope Church in Ogallala with Pastor Matt Waitley officiating A memorial has been established to the Ogallala Roundup Rodeo. Private family Committal service will be held at a later date.
