John was a real gentleman, a genuine person and a good human. He was always fun to be around, and he cared a great deal about both his family and his group of friends. He used to call me "Olive Oyl," which was not the most flattering of nicknames, but it was an accurate description of my "body type" and the way he'd say it always made me laugh! From him I learned all about crabbing, properly using Old Bay Seasoning and how to drive a stick shift. My thoughts are with his family, and I pray for his eternal comfort in Heaven.
