John Edward Piros, 85 passed away peacefully at home on March 30, 2026 after a long illness. He was born July 2, 1940 in Johnson City, New York and grew up in the First Ward of Binghamton, NY. John enjoyed the outdoor life of hunting and fishing Most of his pictures were not of family, but of the deer and fish that he had caught! When it came to hunting season, he was gone from sun up to sundown. In the Spring and Summer, he was not happy unless he had a fishing pole in his hands!
John shared his life with his first wife Anna Decker. From this marriage they had Michael, David, Diana, Carl, and his favorite dog Stach. After 13 years he met his second wife, Vivian Decker and step-daughter Terry Early. They shared 50 plus years together.
During John's life he worked at the Binghamton pipe plant making concrete piping that is used in drainage for highway construction. As John's life changed so did his job and he began driving for trucking companies that were affiliated with the teamsters. He was in heaven! He enjoyed the freedom of the road and belonging to the brotherhood of the teamsters.
Upon John's retirement it was decided that they (John & Viv) would move to Lugoff, SC and enjoy the warm weather. They lived in SC for 12 years and made several friends, but their hearts always longed for New York. They eventually moved back to New York where John wanted to be close to his family when he passed.
He was predeceased by his mother, Betty Cotton, a grandfather, Michael Piros, grandmother, Elizabeth Piros, a wife Vivian Piros, a brother Robert Piros.
John is survived by his children: Michael & wife Linda Piros (Mt. Gilead,NC), David & wife Jill Piros (Lugoff, SC), Diana & husband Jeff Kleinwaks (Cicero, NY), Carl & wife Robin Piros (Johnson City, NY), Terry & husband Chuck Miller (Brackney,PA) and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
