John Polito Obituary
He was born on September 19, 1954 in Bristol, the son of the late John and Catena Polito.
John was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, especially his favorite player, Thurman Munson. He was a social butterfly and made many longtime friends throughout his retail career.
He is survived by his sister Angela Knisely; his nephew Michael (Amanda) Knisely and great-nephews Aiden and Nicholas Knisely, all of whom he treasured as his own children. He is also survived by many family members in Montreal Canada and Sicily, Italy and many dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday March 28, 2026 at St. Gregory Church and he was laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in John's memory may be made to either: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org/ or to American Cancer Society https://www.cancer.org/
