John Polous Obituary
John Matthew Polous, better known as Matt Polous left this world for his heavenly home on Thursday, August 28, 2025. He had been hospitalized in Tallahassee, Florida for just over a week. Matt left this world with his beloved wife by his bedside.
Matt was a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved being on the water and in the woods. John Matthew Polous was born on November 16, 1966 in Carrabelle, Florida. He was 58 years old and a lifelong resident of Eastpoint, Florida.
Matt is survived by his wife Paula Lynn Tyler Polous of 37 years, one sister, Angela (Jeff) Page and one brother, Tony Polous. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Matt was preceded in death by his parents John Joe Polous and Claudia Carol Barfield Polous.
Services will be held at Deliverance Tabernacle Church on Friday, September 5, 2025 with the visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. Eastern Time and the funeral at 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Eastpoint Cemetery.
