John Nelson Polson, 75, of Bremen, Indiana, died May 9, 2025 in the comfort of his family’s presence.
His life began June 28,1949 in Bremen, Indiana the second of three children born to Jim and Lulu Polson. He married Barbara E. Boyer June 16, 1973 in Nappanee, Indiana.
John was an avid sports fan. He loved racing, especially NASCAR, and Triton High School sports. He raced cars for many years at the local tracks. He enjoyed whipping up concoctions in the kitchen. John was a Ford fanatic, and he passed that love onto his kids and grandkids. He was the proud owner of a 1930 Model A.
John will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years Barbara E. Polson of Bremen, Indiana; daughter, Melissa (Gabe Langohr) Polson of Bourbon, Indiana; son, Jon (Melinda) Polson of Bremen, Indiana; five grandchildren, Jasmine, Kaitlyn (Tyler), Evan, Ashlyn, Layla; five great grandchildren, Bentley, Violet, Sage, Rowen, baby Amor, due October 2025; sister, Shirley Wilson of Bremen, Indiana; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ed Polson.
Family and friends will gather Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 10:00 am until time of service at 12:00 noon, in Bremen United Methodist Church, 302 West Plymouth Street, Bremen, Indiana 46506.
John will be laid to rest in Bremen Cemetery.
