Brian Henderson and Rev. Kevin Liles officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Polson was born January 13, 1940, in Welch, Oklahoma to the late Louis and Marilea Polson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julie Ward Polson. After graduating from Jackson High School, he attended Clemson University. He served his country in the United States Army Reserves. After working for over 30 years, Mr. Polson retired from the Savannah River Site as a department supervisor. While working at SRS, he also owned and operated Polson Heating and Air Conditioning. He lived in Jackson, South Carolina from 1955 until 1997. In the 1990's he acquired the United States Coast Guard certification to become a Captain for chartered saltwater fishing excursions. Known as "Buddy" to his family and friends, he was a true outdoorsman and loved hunting, camping, and was an award winning competitive benchrest shooter. Most of all he enjoyed fishing with his brother, daughter, grandchildren and friends. Mr. Polson was an avid South Carolina Gamecocks fan and member of Edisto Beach Baptist Church. He enjoyed the companionship of his beloved dog, Roxie.
