John was born on March 7, 1948, in South Bend to the late Robert Sr. and Helen (Culp) Primmer.
After graduation from High School John served his country in the United States Air Force.
John worked in the HVAC field for his career, both as a technician and an owner/operator of his own company.
On July 22, 2000, in North Liberty he married Jody L. Vicsik, sharing 25 years of marriage.
John is survived by his wife, Jody, his sons; John (Kara) Primmer and Adam Primmer, two granddaughters, Abby and Ally, and his siblings; Melanie Chapleau and Robert Jr (Linda) Primmer. He is also survived by his in-laws: Mary (Wayne) Six, Michele (Greg) Weiss, Jimmy (Julie) Vicsik, Mike (Amy) Vicsik, a host of nieces, nephews, and a handful of greats!
A memorial visitation for John will be held from 4pm-6pm on Friday July 11, 2025, at the Palmer Funeral Home inside the Palmer Community Complex, 601 N. Michigan St. Lakeville.
Memorial contributions in John's name may be made to the Lakeville Conservation Club, 67749 Lake Trl. Lakeville, IN 46554 or to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 63568 US 31 S. Lakeville, IN 46536.
