John Proctor Obituary

John M. "Jack" Proctor, age 80, of Dover, died Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at the Little Rock Veterans Hospital. A son of the late John McFadden Proctor and the late Nettie Mae Brown Proctor, he was born January 15, 1927, in Pope County. He was a former sawmill worker and a disabled United States Navy veteran. He attended the Assemblies of God. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Mildred Myers, Hazel Summers, and Louise Chaffin. Survivors include three brothers and a sister-in-law, Raymond Proctor of Gumlog, Earl Proctor of Dover, and Charles and Louise Proctor of Scottsville; and several nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and great-grand-nieces and great-grand-nephews. The funeral service will be at 10 A.M. on Saturday, July 14, 2007, at the Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Jackie Pledger officiating. Burial will be in Booger Hollow Cemetery at Dover under the direction of by Shinn Funeral Service. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the Veterans Administration, Little Rock, Arkansas.
