He was born on April 12, 1948 in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Carl and Emma (Leaman) Quaintance.
John graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1966.
On July 16, 1971, he married Judith Kay Tincher at St. Thomas Aquinas in West Lafayette, Indiana.
John worked for Fairfield Manufacturing as a Tool Inspector for over 40 years before he retired in 2015. He had previously worked for Beeson's, Sears, and Alcoa.
John was a member of the NRA and enjoyed outdoor activities, especially target shooting, hunting, and fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Quaintance; his sister, Ruth Ann (Jim) Klinker of West Lafayette; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to Natalie's Second Chance Shelter in loving memory of John.
