John Rabe Obituary
John Stephen Rabe, of Saint Louis, MO, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025, at the age of 78. Beloved husband of the late Helen Rabe; cherished son of the late William and Dorothy Rabe; devoted father of Becky (Jason Morrison) Rabe and Katie (Bill Sladek) Rabe; dear brother of Mary Jane (Bill-dec.) Friedhoff, Liz (Al) Benzkofer, and Bob (Fran) Rabe.
He was married to his wife, Helen, for 50 years before her passing, and together they shared a love of vacations, road trips, and time at the beach. John especially loved Lake Okoboji, where he spent many summers growing up and later created lasting memories there with his daughters. A devoted lover of classic rock music, he worked for 15 years at a record company and delighted in making mixtapes. John cherished his dogs, having many throughout his life, remained close to his siblings, and always enjoyed a good drive or road trip. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in John's name to American Lung Association.
