John W. Rabito Jr., 75 years old of Toms River passed away on August 15, 2023.
Born in Red Bank, NJ to John W. Rabito Sr. and Loretta Cook. He served in the Air National Guard from 1969 until 1975. John worked as a professional land surveyor for over 40 years between D.W. Smith Associates in Lakewood, NJ and the Ocean County Engineers office.
John was predeceased by his beloved wife Sandra and his faithful Goldendoodle Bentley. Surviving are his son Jonathan and his wife Michele and his daughter Shannon E. and her husband Carl Dietz, his sister Ronnie Bush and Dawn Mitchell and his cherished grandson Ryan John. John was devoted to his family and friends and loved spending time with them. He also enjoyed attending classic car shows, working on projects around the house, watering his flower garden, and playing card games.
Visiting will be Monday, August 21, 2023 from 10:00am until 1:00pm. Funeral services will begin at 1:00pm, followed by an entombment at Ocean County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. Please make check payable to CINJ-RUF and mail to CINJ Development Office, PO Box 193, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. Donations can also be made online at bit.ly/SupportRUCancer. Please indicate that the gift is in memory of John W. Rabito Jr.
